Saugata Gupta is Chief Executive Officer, Consumer Products at Marico Limited., a leading Indian Group operating in the Hair Care, Health Care and Skin care segments of the Beauty and Wellness space in India and abroad. As the CEO, Mr. Gupta oversees the India FMCG operations of the company. Mr. Gupta joined Marico Limited in January 2004 as Head – Marketing and was later was given additional charge of the Sales Function. He moved into his current role in April 2007.

Prior to this, he was Chief - Marketing & Group Sales at ICICI Prudential and was part of the startup top team that was instrumental in turning the company into the largest private sector Insurance firm in the country. A product of IIT Kharagpur and IIM Bangalore, Mr. Gupta started his career as a Brand Manger in Cadbury’s and was instrumental among other things for the launch of the Perk brand and the relaunch of Cadbury’s Dairy Milk in the 90’s. His last assignment with Cadbury’s was as Marketing Manager – Chocolates

He has played a significant role in driving the sustainable profitable growth journey of Marico in the last few years. Marico has been recognized in recent years as one the fastest and innovative FMCG organizations.
