Chandrashekhar Pitre was appointed as National Marketing Manager for India in December 2005. Mr. Pitre is responsible for the entire spectrum of DHL Express’s marketing, advertising, promotional and communications activities in India. He manages the tactical development of new business and maintenance of existing business in line with DHL’s profitability and growth targets. In addition, he is also responsible for the development and implementation of marketing plans that will play a key role in enhancing the market share for DHL Express in India.
His extensive experience is ideally suited to meet the challenges and opportunities that the DHL brand will experience over the coming years. He has the drive, skills and commitment required to maintain the current number one position for DHL in India, and the challenge of taking it to the next level of success.
Mr. Pitre joins DHL Express from Development Credit Bank (DCB), where he was head of branch banking, driving sales of all products across the network and also responsible for the development and pricing of all liability products.
Mr. Pitre has over 15 years of experience in the banking industry. Prior to DCB, he was with leading foreign and private sector banks like ANZ Grindlays, Commerzbank and ICICI. Mr. Pitre holds an MBA, specializing in marketing. |
