Michel Phan is LVMH-Chaired Professor of Marketing at ESSEC Business School, based in Paris and Singapore. He is also Academic Director of the MasterCard-ESSEC Luxury Brand Management Executive Program in Singapore. He teaches “Luxury Services Marketing” in the MBA International Luxury Brand Management at ESSEC Business School in Paris. Prior to joining ESSEC he has taught marketing at Cornell University School of Hotel Administration (USA) and University of Sydney School of Business (Australia). He was also a guest professor at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai (China) and a guest speaker at Yonsei University in Seoul (South Korea).

Prof. Phan received his BA Honours degree in European Business Studies from University of Ulster (Belfast), a Masters degree in Economics from University of Caen (France), an MBA from Monash University (Melbourne), a Ph.D. in Marketing from University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney, and an ITP (International Teacher’s Program) Fellowship from Stockholm School of Economics (Sweden). His teaching and research interests include luxury counterfeit consumption, luxury services marketing and relationship marketing management. Prof. Phan’s research has been published in Journal of Business Research, Décisions Marketing, American Marketing Association Conference, Global Marketing Conference, Asia Academy of Management Conference, European Marketing Academy Conference, Academy of International Business Conference, Academy of International Business South-East Asian Region Conference, Australian & New Zealand Marketing Academy Conference and China International Business Symposium.
