Jiggy George is the Executive Director for Cartoon Network Enterprises India and South Asia. Based in Mumbai, Jiggy is responsible for managing and implementing sales strategies for the Cartoon Network brands such as The Powerpuff Girls, Dexter’s Laboratories, Tom & Jerry, etc, and the POGO brand. His responsibilities include identifying opportunities & growing the business in India and development of integrated marketing campaigns and strategic alliance relationships with external partners for Cartoon Network and POGO.
Jiggy has recently been given two additional mandates. As part of his extended and dynamic portfolio he now leads Turner’s popular pre-school initiative Galli Galli Sim Sim includingmanaging and overseeing the execution of this visionary project while drawing synergies from the enthusiastic Turner and Sesame Workshop teams. Additionally, Jiggy has also been given charge of setting up Turner’s theatrical division which would develop and produce films for kids and their families. Jiggy will be responsible for all aspects of the theatrical business including production, marketing, distribution, licensing and merchandising and ancillary functions.
As part of his L&M responsibilities Jiggy had single handedly set-up the licensing department and within a short span of two years successfully built India into one of the company’s biggest promotional licensing markets in Asia. He has spearheaded highly integrated promotions with large marketers such as Hindustan Lever and Cadburys across multiple brands nationwide. His division has also recently entered into movie licensing & merchandising by bagging the L&M rights of some big banner Bollywood movies.
Prior to joining Cartoon Network India, Jiggy worked with MTV where he worked on the brand’s licensing and merchandising program after successfully managing brand and consumer marketing.
